Laura grew up on the New Jersey shore and moved to Vermont to attend Middlebury College. She raised her children and animals on a working farm while working as a natural science illustrator. In addition to her art she has become well known for her work in recreating the Old Fashioned Farm Collie. Please see the website at oldfashionedfarmcollies.com. Laura's intimate knowledge of animals, combined with a traditional painting style, gives her portraits an old-fashioned elegance and charm.
